Popular Science Caravan into Campus
In order to further implement the spirit of the important speech of General Secretary Xi Jinping, implement ‘the Opinions of Eighteen Departments including the Ministry of Education on Strengthening Science Education in Primary and Secondary Schools in the New Era’, promote the convergence of science education and social classroom in primary and secondary schools, and improve the scientific quality of students, from 2nd to 6th September, the west campus and the Municipal Science and Technology Museum jointly carried out the ‘Science Popularization Caravan into Campus’ activity.
To be specific, the exhibits on display at the event covered a great many disciplines such as physics and chemistry. Also, students experienced and felt the charm of science under the patient explanation and guidance of the staff of the Science and Technology Museum.
In addition, the activity arranged popular science lectures and scientific experiment performances. For instance, the experts explained scientific knowledge and principles to students with easy-to-understand language and vivid demonstrations, which stimulated everyone's strong interest in science.
Furthermore, the popularization caravan into the campus activity not only enriched students' extracurricular life, but also planted the seeds of science in their hearts. Thus, it’s believed that in the future, these seeds will take root and sprout, encouraging more students to devote themselves to scientific research and contribute to the advancement of science and technology.
In conclusion, the west campus shall continue to strengthen cooperation with institutions such as the Science and Technology Museum to promote the improvement of the quality of science education and provide students with more opportunities to engage with science and explore the unknown, helping boost the scientific quality of students through science education.
